He had many names, Cocodot, Sir Bunsiat, Frank but mostly we just called him Bun or Bunny. He was very old for a small rabbit. He’s nearly 12 years old which is about 4 years older than most live. We got him “used” from a pet store and he was never very friendly and cuddly, but after we got him fixed he didn’t nip (much) and he liked to spend most of his time in his cage. I think he felt safe there.
About 18 months ago he got a cough. I took him to the vet and they gave him some medicine but it never really went away. He may have had cancer, we’re not sure, but at his age I couldn’t see spending tons of money to figure it out and he was still active and eating well and seemed to be enjoying his life. But some time in the night he passed. He looked peaceful laying there so I hope it wasn’t painful.
I will take him to the local vet clinic today who will take care of him. We knew it was coming and I told my daughter this morning, but still, we’ve had him for nearly 12 years, that’s a long time and it will be weird not to have him around for a bit.

Awww, I am so sorry. At least he had a good life with you all.
Sorry to hear about Bun.
RIP Bun
Sorry you lost your Bun. But happy you shared him with us.
Sorry for your loss. But I’m glad he had a good home with you. (And that I am not the only person who gives my animals multiple names.)
